Inspired by the Notorious B.I.G’s “Life After Death,” Wilbert T. Robinson, better known as Youngworldibi (young-world-eye-be-eye), was born and raised in Lancaster, PA and currently resides between Lancaster, PA, and Camden, New Jersey. Writing since he was fifteen years old, Youngworldibi has now been recording & releasing music for 5 years now. Youngworldibi’s music speaks of his truth through the experiences of his youth until now.

At a young age, he was sent away to prison for a spell. However, it was while he was in prison where he began to take his craft in music seriously. Spending endless hours writing and finding his style in hip-hop. “I’ve always loved music from a very young age, and it was only natural for me to do it myself.” Says Youngworldibi. “A lot of lyricism & wordplay.” Growing up listening and being inspired by hip-hop artists like B.I.G, Jay-Z, Nas, Lil Wayne, The Diplomats, and many more, Youngworldibi takes pride in not trying to sound like anyone else in the industry. Instead, he is going for his own unique sound. With no major label backing him right now, Youngworldibi is just trying to pave a way for himself.

Youngworldibi started his career with his first release of his EP “The Hunger for More” followed by “Mountain Top,” then “12.5,” but he was only beginning. “My music is out on all the music platforms and I’m just getting started.” His most recent release was “Taking The Throne Reloaded”  released on September 2023. “My music is for all those true Hip-hop heads out there looking for something different.” The response is given when asked about who Youngworldibi’s targeted audience was.

It is his passion and love for hip-hop as well that pushes him to continue his musical journey. “Even after all the bad that came in my life, I’m striving for a better life. That is why I do what I do.” Says Youngworldibi. With continued inspiration from new aged rapper Dave East, Youngworldibi is getting ready to blow up the underground hip hop world with another project “Taking The Throne Deluxe Edition”, to be released on April 2025. Wanting to be known for his music and originality and with Spotify numbers on the rise; Youngworldibi says that he has no plans in trying to fit in with the hip-hop structure of today. He does plan to kick off the new year with plans to continue to release new music.
