Skai Jackson will not be facing charges following her domestic battery arrest stemming from a dispute with her boyfriend, as prosecutors have stated that there is insufficient evidence to proceed with a trial.
The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office informed TMZ that they are opting not to file charges because Skai has no prior criminal record, the alleged victim did not sustain any injuries, and he has chosen not to cooperate with the prosecution.
TMZ was the first to report on the arrest of the Disney Channel star, which occurred after police reported seeing her in a confrontation with her boyfriend at Universal CityWalk last week.
Witnesses indicated that officers arrived at CityWalk and that security personnel held the couple after footage appeared to show Skai pushing her boyfriend.
Authorities reported that both Skai and her boyfriend denied any physical altercation, despite the video evidence, claiming they were happily engaged and expecting a child.
Although Skai was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, she was released just hours later.
